Growth Director
The Role:
I’m looking for a Growth Director for a multi-award-winning digital marketing agency that has specialises in the events sector.
The agency works with some of the biggest names in global exhibitions and conferences, delivering campaigns across Paid Social, PPC, SEO, Organic Social, Content Creation and Creative Studio. Their core mission is simple: get bums on seats.
The role
This is a senior growth position sitting alongside the CEO. It’s not a traditional sales role. They’re looking for someone who grows through relationships, credibility and deep market knowledge rather than pressure tactics or hard selling.
A background working directly within trade show and exhibition organisers is essential. The ideal person will understand the realities of event portfolio growth, delegate acquisition, exhibitor marketing, rebooking, visitor promotion and the commercial pressures organisers face. Alongside this, you’ll need a solid understanding of digital marketing and be comfortable discussing campaign performance and growth strategies with senior stakeholders.
You’ll be:
• The face of the business at industry events, roundtables and networking occasions
• Running pitches and prospect meetings independently
• Producing thought leadership content and speaking at industry events
• Identifying partnership opportunities with platforms and event organisers
• Spotting and converting upsell opportunities within the existing client base
• Building and nurturing a commercial pipeline through industry relationships
You’ll bring:
• An established network within the exhibition, conference or events industry
• Strong knowledge of organiser pain points and event marketing terminology
• A credible understanding of digital marketing channels and how they support event growth
• Evidence of leading pitches, building pipelines and driving commercial growth
• A relationship-led approach and the presence to represent the business both on stage and in the room
The business is currently on an ambitious growth journey, with revenue expected to increase significantly over the coming years. This hire will play a key role in unlocking new relationships, supporting expansion plans, including the US market, and helping shape the next phase of growth.
We’re particularly interested in candidates from entrepreneurial, hands-on environments who enjoy rolling up their sleeves and being part of a close-knit team, rather than those coming from highly corporate structures.
